Found this via Lifehacker and dailyApps and thought there might be others that find UAC annoying, yet don't want to shut it off.

dailyApps Disable UAC for Certain Applications in Vista

There's some steps involved so it's not a point and click type hack.

Very, very cool
I wonder if that whole process could be incorporated into TweakVista?

So I just set this up for Stardock Central. Seems to work as advertised.

If you right click on an .exe file > properties > compatibility there is a box which says run as administrator. Once you set this, you are good to go for that program. No external applications needed.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but this section doesn't seem to get much action.

Werewolf, dont you still get the UAC prompt if you do that?

I know I do. Seems the sdcentral.exe calls loader.exe which I also set to "run as administrator" and still get a UAC prompt.

Frankly I've been spending less and less time using Windows since Vista. It's a shame that a great many of the promised new features never made it in and it has been whittled down to a more polished version of XP with the certainly not ready for prime time User Account Control.
